The term MUSE derived for Greek Mythology as the goddesses of inspiration. They were said to be the source of all arts; the daughters of gods Zeus, the all-powerful and Mnemosyne, the embodiment of memory. The result was the manifestation of perfect expressions. In ancient times the power of memory surpassed all because there were no books. They were entrusted to Apollo, the Law giver to guide them through their lives of inspiration.  Since I’ve started my journey through This Inverted World, in the beginning, my inspirations seemed to be random. Over the last 7 years I have been able to narrow down these inspirations: Random People, Urban Landscapes, and Elements of Music.  My first solo exhibit will embody this concept, and be tilted, “Muses Memphis & Music”.  So I felt the need to clarify the fist inspiration: The Muses

Anton Raphael Mengs: Apollo and the 9 Muses.

The Nine Muses inspiring Arion, Orpheus and Pythagoras (Pythagorean theorem) under the auspices of the Personified Air, source of all Harmony, 13th century, Public Library Rheims

With this stated, it is reasonable to say my muses derive from many sources, expressed through a variety of mediums. My muses in some way, shape or form arrested my senses forced a manifestations of expression.
